2. Keith Haring - Next stop: Art

At the end of the 1970s, Keith Haring decorated the walls of the subway shafts in New York with his simple, two-dimensional figures. "The Radiant Child” became his trademark. In contrast to the graffiti scene, which exhausted itself in the repetition of such signatures (“tags”), Haring created a multifaceted symbolic language that conveyed the impression of mysterious messages. Haring died of AIDS in 1990 at the age of 31.
